You sound so bitter and angry all the time, Assup. Why is that? Did you drink your Ovaltine and get a good night's sleep like I recommended? We really need you to be feeling better. After all, you are our . . .

DIPSHIT OF THE YEAR 2013

ASSUP!!!

If your parents are Citizens, and you happen to be born in another Country, you are considered a natural born citizen.

That article claims 8 USC 1401 as its authority.

8 USC 1401 addresses citizenship by birth. It does not address the question of whether one who is a citizen by birth is a "natural-born citizen", as the term is used by the Constitution in defining eligibility for the Presidency. The exact meaning of natural-born citizen has never been decided, in part because the question never came up before Barack Obama ran.

It does not exactly help matters that Barack Obama and his attorneys have been obstructing the issue in every way possible since it was first raised.

Can you imagine the civil disturbances there would be if it turned out Obama was not qualified to be President? The Obamazombies would be throwing dynamite at the non-liberals. Then the non-liberals would light the dynamite, and throw it back!

Chaos!

I agree.

It comes up once in a while. Congress had to rule on McCain because he was born in the Panama Canal zone. There was some question about George Romney who ran for the Republican nomination in 1968. He was born in Mexico with both parents being American citizens. Barry Goldwater's natural born status was debated because he was born in Arizona Territory before it was a state.

If Marco Rubio makes a run for the presidency, there may be a challenge; neither one of his parents were citizens when he was born.

This was originally published in the Carteret County News Times. Is it real? Was it really published? Yes, it was.

Actually it has come up before. Chester A. Arthur became president upon the death of James Garfield. It was rumored that he was not born in the United States. Historians have found that it is very likely that Arthur was born in Canada the year before his parents immigrated to New York state. The difference is that Arthur never ran for the office of president.
