I didn't say I agreed with the credits. I said that the industry got them. If I were to buy a horse this year -- highly unlikely -- I'd take the accelerated depreciation, etc.

As a whole, I think that the deal is disgraceful in general; and a horrible job of protecting Democratic values by Obama.

He had all the leverage and could have fucked the Republicans like a tied up goat. He's spineless and seems to abhor confrontation. If I'd been in charge there'd still be no deal, the media would be blaming the Republicans and they'd be squealing like a stuck pig. And my negotiating position would still be above Obama's starting position. I'd have workers at the Pentagon hauling furniture out of the place. They'd go nuts and be crawling down Pennsylvania Avenue to negotiate when they saw that.

And never mind what a failure it is for deficit reduction, assuming arguendo you think now is the time to reduce the deficit (and I don't). They ALL agreed on a deficit reduction bill and increases the deficit $4 trillion. Just fucking stupid. (Even aside from the fact that we need stimulus, not deficit reduction at this time.)

60 minutes has done stories about this, our corporate tax rate is 24%(?) where Switzerland is 10%, so why not have your corporate office there, even though it is just one room
