He can always extend the tax cuts through July 1st; allowing more time for negotiation of a deal.

He extended them once already !

But Obama won't extend them. He wants us to go off the cliff !

the measure passed in the senate extends tax cuts for 98% of the country ... the House refused to vote on it ..

Whatzup how can I tell you how stupid you are? There are no words to express my contempt for you. It must be what the Mayans were talking about. The idiots all got a double dose of stupidity today.

The House represents the people of this country, not Obama. The people (through the house) has said that we want to stop the out of control spending. Why won't Obama play ball with the people? Spending has to stop, raising taxes will only run the government for 8-11 days but will cost thousands of jobs. Are you truly so stupid that you can't see this one little thing. This is not about politics anymore or can't you see that. Obama is playing politics but this is about national survival.

The Senate went on recess before the House vote.

Republicans lowered the taxes with a time line for them to expire.If they were in office all would reflect their excellent management on the economy.Now the democrats hold office it is the greatest tax raise in history.
