Default Who do you support? elderly or unions?

In July of this year nursing home workers worked out of their jobs after a legal contract was imposed on them after 19 months of arbitration. They were not fired, they walked away from a legal contract. As they left, they allegedly changed the name tags, prescription charts, and medical records of the patients. An independent panel has found that these actions severely endangerd the lives of the patients.
Today a judge has ordered that the striking workers get the jobs back and the non-union workers be fired even though the familes of the patients say that patient care has improved markedly under the new workers.

So whom do you support?

Do I need to point out that these workers are SEIU workers who requested through the NLRB that the White House appoint this judge to hear the case. This judge was appointed to the bench by Bill Clinton, supports democratic politicians, and is a known supporter of union causes.

First those "workers" should be charged with criminal neglect and arrested.
If the same thing had been done to children they would have been thrown in jail immediately.

Power tends to corrupt. Unions have become just as corrupt as any sweat shop owner ever was. They drive entire industries out of business. Government worker unions are fueling the deficit. Greed isn't just limited to the owner who seeks to make a profit.

This shit has happened with union and non workers.I think they need another judge to rule on this.They should not get their jobs anywhere care is involved.

Exactly. What they did was a criminal act. If by the grace of God, they don't go to prison like they should, like someone said, they should be striped of their license and not allowed to work in an industry that provides care of any kind.

I loathe unions. They have served their purpose now they are just perpetrators of a great farce and cost on themselves and us.

Judge Robert N. Chatigny of the United States District Court in Connecticut ruled on Tuesday night that the nursing homes’ owner, HealthBridge Management, had broken the law by refusing to bargain in good faith and by imposing the cuts before a true negotiating impasse had been reached

“We are acting in the best interests of our residents — their well-being is paramount to us,” she said. Ms. Crutchfield said the order to reinstate the strikers would “expose residents to the very people who sought to do them harm” during the walkout. HealthBridge has accused the strikers of several acts of sabotage, including changing the names on several patients’ doors and wheelchairs and switching the names of some residents in Alzheimer’s units.

Deborah Chernoff, a spokeswoman for the strikers’ union, the New England Health Care Employees Union, said it had opposed any sabotage. She suggested that the allegations themselves were suspicious, noting that they were first made two weeks after the strike began.

The announcement of HealthBridge’s lawsuit against its own employees is just the latest in a series of aggressive actions by the company that has no basis in either fact or law. HealthBridge has repeatedly filed charges at the labor board against the union that were then quietly withdrawn or dismissed. In the two Labor Board trials that have been completed so far, the decisions went against HealthBridge.
Now, with another Complaint recently issued against the company, another trial against HealthBridge set for December and a hearing coming up this month on the federal government’s request for an injunction against HealthBridge, the company once again is employing its seemingly unlimited resources, not to provide quality care or settle a reasonable contract, but to point fingers everywhere but at its own proven illegal behavior.
