There is a statue erected in Northern New York state to the hero of a major battle. This man attacked the enemy even though he was shot off his horse and had to have his boot cut off. The credit was given to another at the time but the statue tells the story. The statue is a boot. That man was Benedict Arnold. He was a hero before he was a heel and much of what he is blamed for did not happen. Look up New London and Groton, CT.
