who should be watching the clock?

so...i'm reading a thread started by an offended provider, which i often do so as not to make the same mistake as the target of the lady's ire, and i decide to check out her showcase. that directs me to her website. cool. she's hot, it's interesting. maaaaaybe....

then, while reading the usual etiquette advice...wash your teeth, wash your ass, don't ask what happens at fight club...the usual, i see this:

"When in the company of an Escort, do not assume that they will keep a track of time. If you should happen to exceed the paid amount of time expect to pay additional fees. Like with any industry time means money and you are not entitled to any freebies, so be warned!"

huh??

if i drop my car off at the mechanic's for a tuneup quoted at 3hrs, is he going to expect me to stay there and let him know when his time's up? when i quote a photography customer based on 2 hours of shooting, should i advise them that i'll just be snapping away and that i expect them to tell me when i'm done?

i can just imagine..."oh, wow...i've been shooting pictures for 4 hours! guess we both lost track of time. oh, well...i know i quoted you for two hours, but now you owe me for four..."

so, is it just me, or is that a bit off-putting? i thought it was a real bonerkill. in my world, every business owner is responsible for staying on the clock. it's not the customer's problem. personally, i'm always aware of time anyway, so it's a non-issue, but that's just me.

You should be aware of your time. On one hand, some girls are really, really good at rushing things along with out making it seem like a rush. On the other, sometimes the chemistry is right and you both lose track. It's extremely inappropriate to try to take advantage, whatever side of the fence you are one.

If you know your time is coming to a close, then you can be ready to either finish up or offer additional for extra time.

Going over a little bit, should be no harm, no foul. However, going 4 hours when you had 2 scheduled, you are probably taking advantage and should be prepared to pay up. And a girl shouldn't be trying to get you finished up 15-20 minutes into a hour or 90 min appt.

10-15 minutes either way should be no issue. It's a shared responsibility. And I'd happily trounce your ass for going that much over as I just jumped over some girls for their attitude.

Yeah, that kind of talk from a provider is a bonerkill, to say the least. I can cheerfully accept that someone is endowed with special physical assets, to interact with which I have to pay a bunch of money; but when a woman suggests that there is something about her sheer presence--her raw time, so to speak--which is more valuable than mine, it's gotten so l have to bite my tongue pretty hard.

Unfortunately, there are a bunch of fucktards that will stay for four hours when they only booked one hour. Some fucktards will not leave ... I remember one fucktard would not leave an incall until he had two bells; however, he was not physically able to even approach the bell much less ring it. He wrote a scathing review about how the lady rushed him out. He was there for over three hours, he booked one.

As much as I gripe about when girls get too full of themselves, it's just as bad when some guy acts like a total ass as you describe. I mean, really, come on now, these girls deserve to get compensated fairly for their time. Doing something like that I regard like theft and I abhor it just as much as anything.

Don't be a freetard, and if you do go over, do something to tip or compensate the lady for her time, if not then, the next time you see her.

It's the provider's responsibility to watch her time. Time, after all, is the nature of her business. If the session is reaching it's conclusion, the provider needs to say something. A gentle, 'Wow, the time has really flown by!" is fine. If that doesn't illicit the desired response then more direct verbiage is required. "I'm sorry but we've gone past my appointment time buffer." Or, "I've enjoyed your company very much but I really have to attend to the rest of my day". Be tactful but assertive. If said provider has to say something more than once then yes, she should be compensated for the overage. Some clients know they're going over and just keep asking for "5 more minutes" or "just a little more of this or that". Clients like that know exactly what they're doing. It's just as tiresome reading alerts posted by providers who blame the client for her own inability to manage her time.

She should be gracious and he should be a gentleman. Wouldn't it be nice if it always worked out that way?

Edit to add: Sometimes when I have extra time I'll ask the client if he/she has an immediate obligation after the appointment. If I have the time and I feel like extending the appointment, I'll ask the client if it's all right to go over for X amount of time. I respect the client's time too. Of course, if I choose to extend the session, it's a gift and I do not expect or ask to be compensated for the overage.

absolutely unacceptable. nobody should take advantage. i just don't want to feel, before even showing up, that i may have to divide my attention between popping my cork and figuring out if i have enough time to get my pants back on...

Hi y'all, I am from the Austin board but I liked what was going on over here. My two cents is this - it is the providers responsiblity to not be obvious when keeping time. I do 50 minuet appointments, unless otherwise booked When the time is getting close, I am kind, sweet and encouraging. I am a busy girl. I don't understand how some women are having problems getting clients out. If they pay for an hour they are gone in an hour. I have other people coming to see me.

At the same time I don't think anyone should be checking the clock every five minuets. When I worked in the brothels I had made CD's that stopped after 20, 30, 45 and 55 minuets. When I was on the second to last song I always knew how much time I had left. It is okay to say it is time to go. Thank you, it was fun etc... etc... especially if you ladies are being tricked out of your time. Sometimes I go over as well if the day is slow, and my clients appricate that. But if they got to go, I am not going to hold em back. LOL
