Default Kucinich Calls For General Petraeus To Testify Before Congress About Events In Benghazi

In the first Congressional session since the election, Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) took to the House floor to call upon General David Petraeus, former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, to testify before Congress about the circumstances surrounding the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya. General Petraeus had been scheduled to testify to Congress before he abruptly resigned from his position.

Petraeus to testify before Congress about Sept. 11 attack in Libya

By Anne Gearan, Updated: Wednesday, November 14, 10:10 AM

Former CIA director David H. Petraeus has agreed to testify to Congress about the Sept. 11 attack in Libya, keeping appointments made before he resigned in disgrace over an extramarital affair.

The appearance will reportedly take place Thursday behind closed doors.

Kucinich is a good guy, even for a liberal. He may be the most honest man in Congress.

http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=negro

"Negro (n.) "member of a black-skinned race of Africa," 1550s, from Sp. or Port. negro "black," from L. nigrum (nom. niger) "black, dark, sable, dusky," figuratively "gloomy, unlucky, bad, wicked," of unknown origin (perhaps from PIE *nekw-t- "night," cf. Watkins). As an adjective from 1590s. Use with a capital N- became general early 20c. (e.g. 1930 in "New York Times" stylebook) in reference to U.S. citizens of African descent, but because of its perceived association with white-imposed attitudes and roles the word was ousted late 1960s in this sense by Black (q.v.).
Professor Booker T. Washington, being politely interrogated ... as to whether negroes ought to be called 'negroes' or 'members of the colored race' has replied that it has long been his own practice to write and speak of members of his race as negroes, and when using the term 'negro' as a race designation to employ the capital 'N' ["Harper's Weekly," June 2, 1906]
Meaning "English language as spoken by U.S. blacks" is from 1704. French nègre is a 16c. borrowing from Sp. negro."

Why wouldn't he be likely to testify? Was there every any real question that he would be called?

The idea that he wouldn't testify is just more conspiracy nonsense from the conservabots. An affair and a resignation from the CIA doesn't insulate you from the subpoena power of a congressional committee.

The entire idea that Petraeus is a water-carrier for Obama is ridiculous.

I'm sure he will double down on what he said before regarding the attack being inspired by the movie trailer. The regime forced him out in disgrace, humiliated his wife, and destroyed his reputation. They got more shit on him so he won't say anything to hurt the regime. He has always been a self promoter and put himself first.....all I can say is drip, drip, drip, drip, drip......you fuck with the millitary and CIA and they will fuck you back.......this shit will go on for years......
