I respected John McCain, but I voted Libertarian in 08 as well. I can't remember voting for a major party candidate since McGovern.

Everytime I think you're not too smart, you go and prove me right. McCain was a moderate, Romney is a moderate. McCain was not to do anything for his base to chose a moderate like Romney, Huckabee, or a few others. He needed to do something to wake things up. He needed an conservative that the evangelical crowd would like. They did not vote for him in the primaries. He chose a woman who was conservative, exciting, and appealed the evangelicals. Go read a book on politics before you make a bigger fool of yourself.
