Default Interesting photos from NY Times.

More high quality Sandy photos from the NY Times website. Some of the phtos are strangely beautiful, in an eerie way.

Here is the start: http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/201...Y_GOBIG.html#1

Photo 32 is particularly strange:

http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/201..._GOBIG.html#32

It's a boat sitting on train trucks near the Hudson River in Ossinning, NY. That's where "Sing Sing" prison is.

For those of you not familiar with NY, that is about 20 miles up the River north of lower Manhattan, where the ocean arguably starts. Sandy's surge went WAY inland.

I also like photo 39 - a white swan swimming up the middle of a residential street in Lindenhurst. I know that town well.
