P-411 Alert?

I set up a dedicated anonymous email account when I joined P411 five years ago (that is, an anonymous account I don't use for anything else). It's the only email address that P411 has for me. Over the years, I've actually corresponded with Gina about a couple of matters and can confirm the different domain she referenced.

I also received the spoofed email - but it came to a different email account that I used when I joined ECCIE, NOT to the only one that P411 knows. For that and other reasons, it is obvious to me that someone else is playing games. My lengthy positive history with the real P411 leads me to agree with others who expressed support for Gina and P411. I trust her. Anyone who doesn't probably hasn't had many dealings with P411.

Look, LE isn't going after any US men for being a member of a legal provider board in Canada. MLAT is usually expediated in an on-going investigation dealing drug traffickers, human trafficking, child porn, corporate espionage, and other federal laws, usually the big ones. If it was widely known that P411 was a haven for human trafficking for both over and underage girls in the US, then there could be justification for the Feds to imply MLAT in Canada to get info from P411.

But to me the point seems to be not LE but who the F got all the Email addresses, like mine, who are Non P411 members. Did they get them from this site and how so?

I do not understand, the part about if you got the spoof but are not a member, you should disregard the whole thing. There is no explaination for how my email as well as all the others that recieved #1 were gotten, as we are not p 411 members. And from reading about this on the national site it seems it was fairly large occurrance (non p 411 recieving mail). There was some thought about this site's servers being compromised in an attack recently. It would seem there is more here than what has been said.

Gina posted a notice on P411 this morning saying that the above email is also fraudulent, and pointing out that she never uses mass email to communicate, with members or otherwise - she posts a notice on P411 or on a board like this one.

The fact that these emails are going to non-P411 members would tend to discount the theory that the recent DDOS attack on P411 has anything to do with this.

Nevertheless, the question of where did all the email addresses come from is a valid and very important one. As I understand it (since I'm not receiving the emails myself), the emails are going to some, but not all, P411 members, and to people who have never been P411 members. It would appear that someone's database has been compromised, but probably not P411's. So, whose?

That's the point that seems to have escaped a lot of folks. Whose indeed...

There was some talk on the worldwide page after the first email stating that Eccie's servers had been attacked to couple of weeks ago, and the thought being that maybe that was the source. I recieved both mass Emails and not a P 411 member. To the best of my knowledge, no one else has my Email. If this is the source then what other info was hacked into?

I would think your hobby email , hobby name , hobby phone if you ever put in PM . So unless you are using RW info , what do they have ?
