Prepaid card is definitely better than trying to withdraw from an ATM over several days due to a daily limit.

I haven't heard paypal come up yet... i can make it look like an ebay purchase that way. the problem then is it is prepaid.... i guess if u are a regular then that should be ok too

as mentioned above, if paypal finds out you're doing something illegal for the funds you collect, they can freeze and/or cancel your acct and perhaps owe you nothing.

i read something about square - that they asked the person for an IRS Tax ID number and some business info. it might have been in Another Realm or HDH or somewhere. do a eccie search for "square". it'll be there between the "square deals" guys have been getting.


all in all, cash, absolutely verified pre-paid cards, items w/ agreed upon value, and barters w/ agreed upon value seem pretty good.

one problem w/ gold and silver, how do you know they are really gold or silver?? go to a gold/silver store for independent verification?? seems less verifiable.

btw, i've only given cash!

After reading about a provider getting her cash "confiscated" (stolen) by LE, why not accept postal money orders with the provider getting the money order itself and the tab in case the money order is stolen by the fuzz? I know from personal experience that it can take 30 days or more to get your money back, but you're almost certain to never see your cash again after LE has helped themselves to it.

Maybe Shyster John could shed some light on whether this is doable?

i have had guys wire me money in advance as a way of confirming an appointment and proving they are real and have the means, back when i had to navigate civie prospects. I have also had a check written to me once, luckily it was good and cashed with no problem. But i only accept cash. I think thats the most fool proof way to go.
