Like I said, no dumb questions.

Plenty of dumb answers.

You require so little from "Dear Leader."
Burning off huge volumes of gas just to get rid of it was the issue.
Can't you ever tell the whole truth instead of misrepresenting it?

Define "green." As I wrote for many years as a kid I had a Randy Shack electric kit that contained a solar cell. I've been waiting for decades for a cheap 1kW solargrid to nail to the side of my house. Now I work for large energy company that invests billions in various green projects. Most, if not all simply don't have a payout. I'm not saying one day there won't be but not with most of these technologies.

For the most part, gasoline can't be beat for safe and convenient storage of billions of BTUs.

Bullshit Mr Poor Long Term Memory II.

You are talking about flaring. Controlled Flaring puts much less C02 in the air than does all the power generation and home heating.

Keep me out of you homosexual fantasies Munch.

Actually, we slaughtered A LOT of whales for their oil. The oil industry actually saved the whales from extinction.

Natural gas takes pipelines to distribute to the homes. In the north and north east, many of the homes there just don't have the ability to connect. Plus the enviro-wackos stop every effort to install new pipelines.
Maybe they want us to go back to slaughtering whales.

What the enviro-whackos need to do is heat their homes with SOLAR.

It's more of an issue of retro-fitting homes and businesses to burn gas or an alternative to oil, and solar energy is "challenged" during the winter to produce sufficient electricity (which takes a lot) to heat. For the most part "we" have not built for solar energy, which in some cases uses angle and windows to assist through "passively" capturing energy and releasing heat in the summer time.

If one is going to utilize "natural" heating and cooling, one must design the structures ahead of time to take advantage of prevailing winds, changes in the angle of sunlight, and retaining the created condition inside of the building. "We" don't do that any more.

People are going green and it's working. Small locally owned farms are cropping up and people are starting to buy locally. I don't see this as a "fad", but moving toward a real change. Obama supports change, and that's why I am voting for him. We have tried capitalism and can see that it doesn't work for the majority.

Uhhhhh....

.... locally owned by whom? and farms for what?

Actually, Obaminable's pitch is that "capitalism" DOES NOT work for the MINORITY ...

.. please don't forget that "Obamacare" was initiated to provide health insurance coverage for the 15 million people in this country who didn't have any ... for one reason or another ... and were not citizens of this country ... for one reason or another.

They have refineries in the east maybe those whackos don't want to loose their customers...

A good looking one though.

But I still want to know about those small "farms" ....

..... or we talking vegetables or storage tanks? Inquiring minds want to know.
