Feedback on New Jersey
So my bday is coming up and I almost travel out of state every year. I am turning 27 and I am thinking of going to New Jersey. I heard Atlantic City is fun never been. I want to go to a night club that is classy I really don't want to deal with a young crowd. Any advice or must see things let me know.

Yeah, don't go to New Jersey, LOL.
Last time I was there I was extremely disappointed. The place was a dump. It seemed a very tired city, past it's heyday.

I lived in New Jersey, and agree with O'Mike. Atlantic City is one fucking scary city, and only the boardwalk /casino area is safe. The best time had in Atlantic city is that not only do all of the properties in Monopoly come from there, but they correspond to how safe / nice they are. So, if you find yourself driving on Mediterranean Avenue or Baltic Avenue, roll up your windows and reload your gun because you are about to die. Floorboard it over to Park Place or Boardwalk, or better yet, out of Atlantic City.

NYC is a much better option.....San Francisco is great...Vancouver, Canada....
Living in western NJ was great, but there wasn't much to do other than that. I never made it down to Atlantic City...

Nothing against the Jersey folks, but I must agree with Mike & Junky, find another place to celebrate your birthday. Most of the folks are good people, but it is definitely not one of the places to put on your must do list and as Junky stated, take the wrong turn it could be your last. Been there twice and will not make it three times.

I just started my diet today and hit the gym harder then ever. I am planning to lose a extra 25lbs before my bday and wear a very sexy dress with stripper heals lol. This is going to be one hot bday.

Personally, I would prefer Manhatten and take in the sights, a show and fine restaurant. Not exactly sure what you are looking for, but there would be many more opportunities to dress up and strut your stuff around Broadway and Times Square. Many things to see and do there if you have never been. Not sure I would care to go to Staten Island and there are places in New York like Jersey you need to stay away from. Harlem, Brooklyn, Queens are some of the places where you could run into problems. Stay In Manhatten and you can go by the former World Trade Center site and Battery Park. See the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building and Wall Street as well as finding some very classy restaurants and clubs. All the good tourists draws.

Manhatten area
Okay well I went to new york city when I was 22 I went to visit a old gf who no longer lives there. We went to time square and saw the world trade center sight. Okay so note to self stay away from Brooklyn, Harlem. I am just going for fun. I am not providing at all. I mainly want to go to a few nice night clubs and nice restaurants. Sight seeing is on the to do list.

Vegas, New Orleans, San Francisco are all great places to visit. Most all of them have areas to stay away from, but all offer a lot of variety in entertainment and things to see and do. Thing about Vegas, after a few days, it kind of wears on you unless you go out to Lake Mead or the Grand Canyon and get away from the city for a little while.
