Default Iphones do not work in below freezing temperatures.

One thing i learned from last week's ice storm...lol

You have to warm it up to make it charge if it goes below freezing.

It starts having problems at 23 degrees and shuts off at 14 degrees.

Yes. Mobile batteries (all phones) will stop providing power below a certain temp.

Not sure where you are but in my neck of the woods, temps dropped to single digits over the nasty weekend. And I am just northwest of town.

My laptop was in my truck Monday morning and would not power on until it got warmed up.

It also will stop working on high temperature 113 ○F... last summer when at pool I left my phone at direct sun over a table an all of a sudden stop working and displayed a warning:
Temperature "iPhone needs to cool down before you can use it"

I left my old one in my car like this and it did the same thing. I held it in front of the A/C vent for a few minutes, good as new lol.

Mine worked all last weekend and I was out hunting in the mess daylight to dark and had no issues. No I was not in some box blind with a heater.

Ha reminds me years ago when I had one of the first Samsung smartphones. Was playing soccer and left the phone on the ground in cold temps and the entire LCD was frozen when I picked it up and essentially made it a paperweight.

At least that was reason I've moved to iPhones
