Default The Butterfly Effect

Well this is my first time to start a thread. So hopefully it will be a decent conversation. The butterfly effect basically refers to, how one seemingly insignificant action can cause a chain of events that leads to a major event. For example, Adolf Hitler wanted to be an artist, but was rejected from art school twice. After the second rejection, he decided to join the military. We all know what all happened after that. What if Hitler HAD been accepted to art school? I once made an F on an a test in college because I decided to go to a ball game instead of study. The professor called me into his office to talk to me about my bad grade. While waiting to speak with my professor, I met a girl who ended up being my wife. All because I went to a ball game instead of studying. Anybody else ever experienced the butterfly effect first hand?

Weatherman I love this thread and thank you for sharing ! That's so sweet You met your wife in college and married her . Things work out for a reason

BTW curious did your professor let you retake the test or do extra credit ?

Hi Lauren. No sympathy from the professor! Just a good butt chewing! As far as the wife part goes..... it seemed like a great thing at the time, but now days I think..... Man, if only I had stayed home and studied instead of going to that ball game!

What if Gavrilo Princip went for a pizza, instead of a sandwich?

Don't you ever wonder
Maybe if things had been slightly different
You could be somebody else?
Don't you wonder maybe
If you took a left turn
Instead of taking a right
You could be somebody different?
Don't you ever wonder
Could I have been
Don't you ever wonder?
Anyone, anyone
Don't you ever wonder?
Don't you ever wonder?
Anyone, anyone, anyone
Could I have been a parking lot attendant?
Could I have been millionaire in Bel Air?
Could I have been lost somewhere at Red Rocks?
Could I have been your little sister?
Could I have been anyone other than me?
Could I have been anyone other than me?
Could I have been anyone other than me?
Could I have been anyone?
He stands, touch his hair, his shoes untied
Tongue gaping stare
Could I have been a magnet for money?
Could I have been anyone other than me?
Twenty three and so tired of life
Such a shame to throw it all away
The images grow darker still
Could I have been anyone other than me? Then I
Look up at the sky
My mouth is open wide, lick and taste
What's the use in worrying, what's the use in hurrying?
Turn, turn we almost become dizzy
I am who I am, who I am well, who am I?
Requesting some enlightenment
Could I have been anyone other than me?
Sing and dance, I'll play for you tonight
The thrill of it all
Dark clouds may hang on me sometimes
But I'll work it out then I
Look up at the sky
My mouth is open wide, lick and taste
What's the use in worrying, what's the use in hurrying
Turn, turn we almost become dizzy
