Default Inflation Hits 40 year High

Hell of a job Senile Biden who claimed "Inflation is a great asset you stupid son of a bitch"

BIDENFLATION - Inflation surges 7.5% on an annual basis, even more than expected and highest since 1982. The Atlanta Fed's sticky-price consumer price index —a weighted basket of items that change price relatively slowly—increased 7.5%, up from 4.3% in December

This is even after Senile Biden had them play games reweighting the CPI to reduce the headline inflation number.

Using old weights January would have been 0.7% and the 12-month would have been 8.7%.

One of the biggest, and one of the oldest, taxes is inflation. Governments have stolen their people’s resources this way, not just for centuries, but for thousands of years.

Out of control deficit spending by Democrats has resulted in 7.5% inflation which is wiping out the wage gains of working families. Stop the madness.

Biden Admin is as financially inept as the Weimar Republic. Get out your wheelbarrows, that loaf of bread is gonna take a couple trips.

Higher Inflation Is Probably Costing You $250 a Month

Who is feeling the price squeeze the most? Millennials, Latinos and the middle class are at the top of the list

The average U.S. household is spending an additional $250 a month because of inflation that is rising at its fastest rate in 40 years, a new economic analysis showed.

The squeeze stems from higher prices across a range of products and services, including cars, gasoline, furniture and groceries.

Inflation accelerated to a 7.5% annual rate in January, the Labor Department said Thursday, reaching a new four-decade high as consumer demand and supply constraints continued to push prices higher. Inflation has been above 5% for the past eight months.

Your right Berry, I'll stand corrected and I will slavishly stick to the subject!
I retract my post.

Well, on the bright side, at least consumer inflation in the U.S. is not as bad as inflation in Venezuela.. yet - just give Senile Biden time.

Maybe you can explain? Why is inflation going thru the roof? We’d love to hear it from “The Man”. Joey Bribes hasn’t given an adequate explanation thus far.

You need to look at each of the items, Bam. And to pay attention.

Oranges.

Major demand increase over the past 2 years. Lower supply. Why, lower supply? Orange crop yields have been impacted for well over a decade by things such as the HLB bacteria that causes citrus greening. Been a problem since 2005. From 2015 to 2016 the price of orange juice almost DOUBLED due to weather issues including storms, HLB and other pests. We're looking at potentially the lowest crop since WW2 and the highest demand OJ has seen in a decade. That's a recipe for inflation.

Now, were there some issues with workers in 2020? Some COVID factors? Sure, some. Just as in pretty much every other sector. But, industry experts pretty much agree that HLB, exacerbated by Irma in 2018 has held on strong and continues to decimate crop yields.

Now, add to that pandemic related cost increases to labor, fertilizer, seed stock and transportation.

So 10% more expensive than last year? That's shockingly low given the circumstances. Vastly lower than what we saw from 2015 to 2016, though.

Context. It's important. Could Biden have helped make it better? Sure. I blame Biden as much as I blame Trump and Obama and Bush for not taking more effective, decisive actions to eradicate HLB and the insects that carry it from tree to tree and impact future crops.

There's also no easy, silver bullet solution. But I loves me some Florida OJ
