Biden was elected president and is the Commander In Chief. So I can see your point about federal employees.
It's the private sector that's problematic. There are people, some on this board, who think the vaccine is going may kill them if they get it.
Some people refuse life-saving medical care on religious grounds or because they're dumb asses, and we don't force it on them. The case for forced vaccination arguably is weaker, because (a) COVID doesn't kill a large % of people infected and (b) it's now looking like the vaccines, while very effective in preventing hospitalization and death, are only partially effective in preventing contagious disease, and (c) natural infection appears to confer stronger immunity than the vaccines. I know a lot of cases of COVID are asymptomatic, but if the ant-vaxxers would just isolate themselves when they first get a sore throat or whatever, maybe they don't prevent a huge threat to those of us who are vaccinated and judicious in our behavior, the aged and infirm excepted. Now admittedly you're going to save saves with vaccine mandates no matter how you look at it. But is it worth it?
