I have been a Dom lite for sometime and always enjoy choking with hand during different activities with Sub. Never going over 15 seconds of choking because I dont want her to pass out.

Now I have a new sub and she wanted to put my belt around her neck and doggie from behind. It went well but I felt no safety control using a belt around her neck. She loved it but almost passed out...any advice...

Don't use the belt around her neck unless you are very very experienced at belt choking ! AND YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO SEE HER FACE AT ALL TIMES - to judge how she is doing ! You don't want to go too far ....( DO NOT DO IT if she's facing the other way- )

I was just choked HARD the other day by a Dom ( with no warning at all and he was stronger than the Hulk himself !!! ) He didn't even ask me! -ahead of time. I barely squeaked out the word " Yellow "

a warning signal that it needed to SLOW DOWN!!! I really should have called " Red " for all things to stop immediately !!! He nearly caused me to pass out and I swear I was REALLY SCARED !!!! He heeded the warning and eased up - I'm very grateful ! I guess he felt badly, I'm not sure.

I somehow managed to finish the session and he went on his way ( satisfied. )

How much pressure on the carotid arteries that will spike blood pressure to the brain, leading to an aneurysm or "brain bleeder" that may not show up for hours, days, or weeks after your fun little "choke the chicken" games?


I personally saw the x-rays and MRIs of a provider that had a "zesty" client pull her hard by the hair while in doggie FRACTURING THREE VERTEBRAE IN HER NECK, ALMOST LEAVING HER PARALYZED FROM THE NECK DOWN. HER HEAD IS HELD ONTO HER NECK BY A TITANIUM CAGE SURROUNDING HER CERVICAL VERTEBRAE, SECURED BY STAINLESS STEEL SCREWS. YES, SHE SETS OFF THE METAL DETECTORS AT THE AIRPORTS AND AT THE CLUBS, but she is thankful just to be alive.


Advice for hobbyists interested in choking a provider: Look up "autoerotic asphyxia" and practice on yourself first!

It sounds like the dom is a novice and doesn’t know about choking I love to be choked but always last 5-15 seconds supposed to enhance the experience not cut off your breathing

Sometimes submissives try to outdo themselves, so it's important that you go above and beyond to ensure you're adequately checking in. Invest the time to research physiology (hand placement, how much pressure to apply, etc.) and implement safety practices. A choking bottom can't use a safe word while being choked so what's the replacement?

When it comes to impact/ pain play, sometimes I do try to expand my threshold. But when I'm being choked, I'm much more unwavering with myself and whoever I'm playing with because the stakes when having my ass flogged is not even on the same level as when I'm receiving breath play. (My ass being a little more tender and sore than I anticipated versus fucking dying!!!) To me, even 15 consecutive seconds sounds very extreme...

Like others have stated, if you're upping the level of risk by using an implement that you have less control of instead of your hands, it would probably be best for y'all to not add the additional factor of you not even being able to see her face and read her expressions.

Read some of my reply posts on this vrry subject. I have been in BDSM since 1972, healthcare sine 1977. Its real simple.................DONT FRICKEN ENGAGE IN THIS PLAY E-V-E-R. If someone tells you they can train you, read my reply posts I have already written here on ECCIE in the past.

I find it really interesting that no one has mentioned carotid baroreceptors, although others have mentioned very, very good points re: physiology & anatomy. Anyone, and I mean ANYONE who replied in the positive for this kind of play should re-evaluate your training as YOU HAVE BEEN MISGUIDED and YOU are a danger to those you play with. There have been several older topics about this and I concur, not playing around with choking is best.

If choking is your partner's thing, why don't you put both hands around the neck and not press? Get in her head some.

Play with words and not with the blood flow.

Just a thought. In a really old topic, I linked an article from an old kinkster who knows about choking and the hazards associated with it.

If your partner almost passed out, this is a sincere problem. People do die, accidentally, for activities like this.
