From my experience there is a small group of men that really don't like women but want to have sex with them, but they can't unless they pay for it and they resent that. Plus, some people are just nasty soul-sucking cynical types - and they seem to think the world owes them something. Specifically they feel they are entitled to sex and feel that it should be free. They don't feel they should commit anything - their attention, love, support, or (as in sex workers) cash. That's why they don't have girlfriends. No one wants to date them. So they see sex workers but deep in side they know that the only reason someone spends time with them is for the money and they resent that and therefore disrespect them to somehow feel superior. I doubt it works.
Wow, I could be a shrink! I just saved myself $100K in college tuition! I'm available for hire! any takers? hello? hello?
Ok, maybe not.
It was still a fantastic post. My personal view is that I suspect that sex work is an incredibly difficult profession on all kinds of levels. The cost is not out of line with most other professions: lawyers, psychologists (the real ones), dentists.
However, I can honestly say that I've always had a better time with a provider than with a dentist. Just sayin'....
