Texans showed their asses today. 53 points against a Falcons team that no longer have a defense.
Next week it will be different. The Chiefs will definitely win, but I hope the Texans make it a good game since they seem to play well away from home.

The Texans played a great game today. They put up a lot of points because they showed a diverse game plan. It was not Hopkins or bust. They threw to the tight ends and slot receivers on important plans where in the past they would try to force the ball to Hopkins no matter what. If they continue with a balanced attached they should do well although I am a bit worried the way Atlanta put up a lot of points. The real test is next week.

I wouldn't "count my chickens". The Colts played some serious defense against the Chiefs today but the Texans don't have that pass rush.

Great game by the Texans offense today and Watson was tremendous. Let’s hope he keeps it going against the Chiefs. It’s a must win as the Colts surprisingly beat the Chiefs. Watson will need to do it again this week. It’s a common theme, Watson and the O will need to outscore the opponent every week.
Chiefs are beat up now too. Bad thing is, they will be pissed.

Fuller had 14 receptions for 217 yards. He's a good player, "when healthy", which isn't often. This is a contract year for him.
Watson can't count on spinning and dodging his way past top tier defenses. I agree with BL in they had a better playbook other than "get the ball to Hopkins."

It’s about time Fuller V showed why he got picked in the first round.

The ball got out quicker and the O-line played a much cleaner game. They were able to put some drives together and score. Watson was making better reads which is why Fuller had such a good day. They also stacked the WRs quite a bit. I haven't seen them do that as much in previous games. The running game was sufficient.
That defense still let them stay in the game though. Even at Ryan's age he can still pick apart a mediocre defense playing 10 yards off the ball even when the O-line sucked as bad as they did.. They just could't keep up because of the Falcons uninspired defense.
I'm not ready to say this is who the Texans are. They got a lot of bounces that went their way yesterday. There is much to improve on. Keeping Watson upright is a big start though.
The Chiefs lost a LB and 2 DTs last night. The LB is not undergoing an MRI so he is probably 50 50. The two DT's are likely more serious and that will put a hurt on the run and pass game. Even before the injuries the Colts were averaging something like 5.7 yds per run. BoB will need another balanced attack but he can't go out with the same game plan and play calling as yesterday and expect the same result. That offense needs to reach it's full potential. That means Watson has to understand it and be able to execute the way it was designed.
Mahomes reaggravated an ankle injury. It's going to take a lot to keep him off the field. That may end up being in the Texans favor if he doesn't have the same mobility.
The early line is Chiefs -5.5. o/u 55.5

It's about time many of the Houston Texans showed why they got picked in any round. It's about time many of the Texans coaching staff and front office showed why they got their position other than falling out of right womb or coaching tree.

They had a good game against a team that looked like it had given up on it's coach more than the Texans had given up on BoB. I wouldn't get overly optimistic.
The Chiefs will be prepared.

Game now, Chiefs up by only one point but second Sunday at home that they no longer seem invincible at Arrowhead! I’m Chief’s fan but your guys did more than show up and deserve the W.

Man I just KNEW this would be an automatic L!!
Have the Texans EVER went into Arrowhead and beat the Chiefs? I can't recall.
Even though the Chiefs has issues with a depleted O-line and stopping the run, this is a damn good win for the Texans. Now they MUST take this attitude into Indy nest week.
