Since the OP was about Paula Deen, lets talk about her and her detractors. Alec Baldwin gets a pass for his racist and homophobic remarks on twitter and in public. Why? Is it because he is not from the south? Leni Riefenstahl was an ardent Nazi and her movies added that extra little bit of glitter to the cause in the 1930s and 40s. Hollywood honored her achievements a few years ago and they all stood and applauded (including Baldwin). Why does she get a pass? Because she wasn't from the south?
If you condemn Deen then you have to condemn Baldwin. So lets hear it.
