They say it can take 3-5 generations for generational wealth to really start being built. Redlining wasn't made illegal until the late 60's.. and the secondary act in regards to redlining was literally passed the year I was born.



Now-- that isn't going to fix all of the societal ills that tend to be found in poorer, more ethnic communities. But the impact of redlining can still be seen today-- and to certain degrees, it does still go on, only in different forms.
