I'm guessing he's talking about the missing WMD's. Bush didn't lie, he was given bad intelligence. Bush acted on the best information available. He had no way of knowing he was being given innacurate information.

George Tenet , the CIA director held over from Clinton's administration, told Bush that Sadam definitely had WMD's; it was a "slam dunk."

History is filled with irony. We gave stinger missiles to the Mujahideen and they used them to defeat the Soviets which probably hastened the fall of the USSR. Then the Mujahideen gave sanctuary to al-Qaeda and they took down the World Trade Center.

Maybe it's a blessing. Maybe it's a curse. Time will tell.

Actually I was all for invading Iraq after Bill Clinton and the UN told us they had WMD.

Here's a possible alternative outcome. We leave Sadam in power and he is overthrown by a military dictatorship. We pay off the new dictator and he becomes a puppet like Mubarak.

Or Sadam watches a televangelist on satelite TV and becomes a born again Christian. He adopts western style democracy and makes guest appearances on the 700 Club.

Or after years of trying and failing to make a nuclear bomb, Sadam buys one from North Korea and immediately nukes Iran.

Or Sadam becomes fascinated with New Age philosophy and becomes a Hare Krishna. His sons take over leading the country.

I supported the war too. The Democrats were behind it too until they decided it would be better politics to pretend they were lied to and turn against it.
