Speaking of stretching, this is the real stretch:

"If Twitter and Facebook had not stifled the Hunter Laptop story, it is more than likely that Biden never would have been President."

And.....surprise.....it comes from the keyboard of a rabid Trump supporter

But Taibbi also touched on other content moderation actions, writing that by 2020 it was "routine" for Twitter to receive requests to remove content from third-party actors.

The Biden campaign was a private entity — not the government — at the time of the request. Trump's White House, however, was the government, but Musk did not address reporting that said they also made and were granted requests.

However, Twitter's controversial decision to initially block the Post's story on Hunter Biden, the main focus of Taibbi's thread, did primarily impact Republicans: White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany was temporarily locked out of her personal Twitter account after sharing the story. But within days, Twitter backtracked on its initial response to block the story entirely, and former CEO Jack Dorsey and others from the company have said the initial decision was wrong."

So both sides asked Twitter to remove posts. Did Twitter removing posts regarding Hunter Biden's laptop influence voters to vote for Biden over Trump? That is a real stretch. Uh, it could have hurt Biden and sent votes to Trump is the point. It wouldn't influence any sane person to vote FOR Biden, now would it. And some might have switched to Trump. We have no way of knowing the numbers but any sane person should be able to admit, that story might have affected votes. There are many valid reasons why Biden won the election but the Trump base does not want to hear that. True.

How many times do you have to hear the quote "that story, Hunter's laptop could have influenced the election and that's why it was censored".

If it could have influenced the election, let me know if you think that assertion is wrong, then it probably did. To what extent we don't know but can speculate on the possibility that influence could have amounted to a number that would have changed the direction just like the discussion that Comey's decision to re-open the Hillary e-mail story, cost Hillary the election. How many on the left will swear to that but it couldn't happen in this case? Yeah, right.

I'll admit it wouldn't be definitive but possible? Oh hell yes.

Yes, I certainly agree that if something was found on Hunter's laptop that incriminated Joe in any way the outcome of the election could have been different. But my opinion is that it is pie in the sky (something that is pleasant to contemplate but is very unlikely to be realized) wishful thinking on the parts of those who are against Joe Biden. I will defend Joe the same way I defended Trump when he was accused of working with Russia to incluence the 2016 election -- not even he could be that stupid.

The "something" was found in Hunter's various e-mails and the testimony of Bobulinski but the FBI, MSM, Big Tech. and the Democrats refuse to see or acknowledge it but thanks for agreeing that if this story had been carried by the MSM, Biden would surely have lost votes. Enough to swing the election? We will never know.

I hope you pay as close attention to the upcoming hearings on Biden. Maybe that will clear things up for you.

Nothing Bobulinski has said about Hunter and Joe Biden has either been verified or corroborated.I As of today it is hearsay. I have said in the past, and continue to say, if Joe Biden is complicit in any wrongdoing he should be held accountable for his actions. I think the upcoming Republican investigations into the Bidens will end up like the many claims of election fraud in 2020-- vague evidence that something REALLY happened.

"Last week, Hunter Biden’s former business partner, Tony Bobulinski, sat down for an hourlong interview with Fox’s Tucker Carlson. He added to the allegations he has previously made against various members of the Biden family by alleging they defrauded him. He also accused the FBI of covering it up by never following up with him on what he said was fraud.

The allegations are serious, and he has some documentation to back it up. While I think the conclusion he draws about corruption by the FBI and his evidence supposedly implicating President Joe Biden in wrongdoing appear weak, I was prepared to take it seriously and learn more, like have someone on the show. Precisely as he told Tucker Carlson he wanted to do."

- Tony Bobulinski is a former Navy lieutenant and business partner of Hunter Biden.

- In statements and an interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson, Bobulinski claimed Joe Biden was involved in one of his family’s business ventures with a Chinese oil company.

- Credible news organizations have found no evidence to corroborate Bobulinski’s claims about a role in the proposed venture for Joe Biden. Joe Biden’s financial documents show no indication of any income related to the venture.

- In the mid-2010s, Hunter Biden was involved in multiple business dealings with Chinese companies. There is no evidence that his father played a role in any of them.
