Recently came news that the iconic song The Eyes of Texas is "racist." (It's been sung by Longhorns fans after every home football game for generations.)

demands came from the football team - perhaps they will strike rather than play with the "Eyes of Texas"
Join up with the Ok. State players involve the entire Big 12 Conference in "Racism" investigations
"All the Live-long day"!!!
LOL
Did One ever see the maroon flowers planted at the state Capitol of Texas and the austin campus - in and among the orange marigolds i believe it was.
LOL.
- Aggies are in a much better and more competitive conference in all sports, academics, research , and community service than what they left behind in their "Rear view Mirrors",
SEC is ordering the Mississippi State to take down their flag or the state will lose hosting privileges.
also, all of Mississippi universities refused to fly the state flag since 2005 or 2008 I think. I did not know this fact. I'm shocked that the state govt. allowed this to continue. aren't they govt. institutions?

I'm surprised it isn't punishable by 2 years in jail to display that flag.
i think its not just yale that has a problem, we all have a problem
robert e. lee, while at washington college, now washington and lee university
would tell his charges," the eyes of the south are upon you"
william pratner, once a student at washington college, and the president at u.t. when the school song, the eyes of texas, was written, would tell his students a similar admonition, "the eyes of texas are upon you"
the song then, was written somewhat as a poke at pratner, and was also first performed in a minstrel show
hence the "racist" roots of the song, however scant and tenuous
but when you are about trampling out all the vintage, nothing must escape destruction

Yes, I read that connection but since it wasn't really used in the same racial context, just the phrasing of the idea that those who have gone before you helped you and you should honor their sacrifice, and in fact really doesn't mean anything racist now, they should keep the song.
However, they seem intent on destroying everything in America they do not like.
I can live without college football. I've long since given up on pro football and basketball. Perhaps I will now become a fan of Alpine Skiing.
Texas has a good swimming team as well. Stanford wins the all-sports trophy every year with obscure sports - fucking racists.
Did some research and we have a problem...Johnson County was named after Henry Johnson...a slave owning minister. Jackson County was named after Andrew Jackson...a slave owning, democrat president. Douglas County (where KU resides) was named after Stephen Douglas, a pro-slavery senator. Buchanan County was named after James Buchanan, a pro-slavery, democrat president. Only Franklin County and Clay County are safe from being cancelled.

How many black swimmers does Texas or the NCAA have??? close to none, if any.
"Systemic racism" - gotta have black swimmers or BLM burn down the natatorium.
Be interesting to watch OBLM and the football team burn down royal Memorial stadium
They might get their someday if they honestly list all their true demands - but they are hiding that for now.
Black Panther manifesto - part of many OBLM directives - demanded 50,000,000 white put to death in return for black slavery!
Of course - OBLM is not "racist" - only whites are racist.
And those open minded caucasians mind are being changed by the LibDPST reality .

What in the wide, wide world of sports is a-goin' on here?"
.
This is beyond absurd.
Remember a while back when the term “ 7 degrees of separation” hit the scene, the idea was that every person on the Planet could find seven things that would soon lead them back to actor Kevin Bacon. Or something to that affect.
“My wife had a cousin who lived next door to a man who went to school with a woman who had a son who was married to guy whose brother was in the KKK.

End quotes, sir.
Wow, I must be a Racist!
So. Is anybody still surprised when it's described as institutional? You shouldn't be.
