Without getting into a debate or long discussion the more they politicize this Virus the less I worry about it. Just last night I heard the actor Tom Hanks tested positive for Covid-19. Of course there is such a thing as a Corona virus and this particular strain probably does exist. Many of us probably have had a Corona Virus at one time in our lives and probably figured it was the Flu or a bad cold. The symptoms are similar and can range from mild to severe. The panic is generated unnecessarily and Tom Hanks is a celebrity that is going to help them do it whether he has a Corona Virus or not.

gnadfly (3-13)
Yeah, I'm looking at recent pics of Hanx! and his wife and they look years away from dying.
Wondering if in the rush to get out these tests that we aren't seeing a lot of false positives. WHY DON'T WE HAVE A CURE YET?!?!2? TRUMP!

The at risk folks are the elderly, the very young, and those with underlying medical disorders - Those are at higher risk of death of Corona virus. Bothers not the Fascist DPST's at al - they are fine with a few hundred thousand deaths and economic decline - if they can get Bernie in Office to finish the job.

If I die it certainly won't be from some chicken shit virus they made in a petri Dish in a Lab in Wuhan China, lol.

I don’t expect the posters cited to flinch, because shamelessness is a new social value, thanks in part to a President who refuses to apologize or backtrack, irrespective of how baseless or flawed his statements or judgment. Trump says whatever he wants with a convincing tone and a straight face, even if it is misleading or flat-out wrong. Those who point out his lies are ridiculed by Trump and his loyalists. Trump can’t have it both ways. He screwed up his response to this pandemic in the early stages, and he is proceeding now as if he has been heroic and on top of this from the start. Insiders know different. We’re not rooting for him to fail, there’s too much at stake. But why can’t he settle into a style of leadership regarding this serious matter that includes less propaganda and less political grandstanding? Instead, he points fingers. He whines. He deflects responsibility. The posts by Trump loyalists on this board reflect the president’s attitude.
You're correct in I don't flinch. There's no reason to from your post.

You know Tom Hanks refers to himself as Hanx!? And that he moved from a hospital to a private home. And that he and his wife long ago were pronounced free of the CV to little media fanfare?

It was proven that we were getting false positives and that a high percentage of the test were defective. Somehow you think this is a joke?

I can't ask posters what President Trump should be or not be doing differently? Especially when they complain about Trump repeatedly? Somehow that upsets your senses? You're not being intellectually honest.

What about the times I wrote "Don't Panic" and "This will be over soon" and "This isn't polio" and "Be thankful this isn't affecting children?"

Citing your examples I think you lack critical thinking skills.

Good day. Please stay away from the forum. You can't handle the truth.

It isn’t so much that WORDS MATTER, it’s the plethora of Trump LIES and DISINFORMATION that have had a profound effect on the population. Because half believe this clown and the rest of us thinks he’s the biggest disaster this country has experienced since the Great Depression.
This country needs real leadership but Trump is more interested in promoting his re-election campaign via his sham daily briefings.
No doubt he’s trying to find a way to steal that $500bn virus aid fund to keep him afloat and finance his campaign.

Someone mentioned the value of truth. Interesting topic. On this board, that’s a moving target. The biggest weakness of this forum is that it provides anonymity to posters. Instead of highlighting open, transparent conversation, this forum offers much opportunity for dishonesty or inadequate attention to facts and evidence. There is no accountability. I do understand why pseudonyms are necessary on this board, since the primary draw to this overarching website –sharing information about providers- refers to an activity that is illegal in most locales. But I would never disclose my full name on this board, even if the exchange of information about providers was not the primary purpose or any purpose of the website. Posters on the political portion of this website –this section- can be crude, vindictive, and mob-like, as evidenced by countless posts. People comfortably behave this way because they hide behind anonymity. Many posters shift between being snotty, vulgar and childish and trying to seem serious and meaningful. It’s as if they have split personalities. On the sites where I engage in discussion there is no need for anonymity, as varying points of view are vigorously debated and exchanged with civility. We sign our posts with our full names. You cannot post unless that happens. People are accountable for what they write, and it tends to elevate the quality and honesty of the dialog, as well as attract participants who are respectful and proud to be knowledgeable and curious. It would be heartening and encouraging if anonymous posters could remain considerate and civil while exercising penetrating and poignant discussion. I have not found that to be true. This specific political forum is a case in point.

a - your list of "offenders' in the original post - was specifically conservative leaning folks.

No mention of lefties like wtf, 9500, j666, or others.

What was it U wrote about "divisiveness"??? And then U were on the anti- Trump soapbox .

Thank for the supercilious and condescending comment above.
U are just posting Leftist propaganda!

Excellent post. No reason to read the cited people's responses.
They are already trying to rewrite actual events.
The truth burns them not. These are the lying liars. They gave up any credibility a long time ago.

It's real simple. Anyone who refuses to admit the president lies on a regular basis can't be counted on or even able to tell the truth. These are heavy users of whataboutism.
Another interesting fact is very few are veterans. They have no idea about a greater good.

As Cindy said about girls, some posters just want to have fun. Imagine that. On a hooker site.

Let your feelings out here anonymously. Or get a diarie. This is a great place for diatribes. Like your OP. The risk factor is minimized.

Penetrating poignant public politicking pontification while staying anonymous is a dream when left open to the "split personalities".

How do you like them words?
