Did I say Trump supporters? I thought I said Thumpers--but I do know that most Thumpers are also Trump supporters.

But to the question, let'sstart with creationism. The flood of Noah (or any other epic flood that covered the mountains in the era of man).

I suspect the writers of the bible would laugh at how the Thumpers read it today.

If anything was a unique American accomplishment, the Moon Landing and the full filling of President Kennedy's mandate to do it before the end of the decade was it.

The planting of the American Flag was a high point in this historic mission. To leave it out is rather puzzling.

That is, unless you are aware of the attempts of the Liberal/Socialist/Progressive's ongoing attempt to tear down this Country.

Sheila Jackson Lee was their consultant.

She'll also be for the new movie to be entitled:

"The First U.S. Mission to Mars!"

You'll see the flag in that one ... planted by the U.S. astronauts in the 60's!

How many of the Houston posters in here voted for her?

Being a space buff, I watched the space program from the very being.

Watching Neil and Buzz plant the American flag on the surface of The Sea of Tranquility was the proudest I ever felt to be an American.

I heard it was a great movie but it’s a shame that it wasn’t important enough to included the flag.

Neil was the first man...and he was America’s best.

I was proud of him and my country.

No, you seem to have some difficulty understanding.

Thumpers are a subset of bible readers--those who generally try to thump it on the table and shove THEIR usually weird interpretation down everyone else's throat. I have nothing against the majority of bible readers.

In this post you generalize bible readers as thumpers

Accusing someone of having reading comprehension deficiencies could be interpreted as being a derogatory remark about someone and a violation of the "new rules" of this forum. Buy please continue to do so with punity.

Calling someone a "bible thumper" is also a slur and derogatory.

Is it really "weird" to interpret documents literally?

Years ago I "dated" a gorgeous young lady who did and she concluded that the Bible forbid her to engage in sexual intercourse (insertion of a "penis" into her "vagina") before marriage, but that there was no prohibition stated in the Bible that had been brought to her attention with regard to her inserting my "penis" into her mouth and enjoying it along with me to completion. I thought it was not "weird" at all, and accepted her literal interpretation without question. Besides, it was excellent birth control. I guess she was a Bible Thumper!
