my issues with McCain are more political than his military service. his father and grandfather were senior Admirals in the US Navy.
Trump's comment wasn't the best of replies but it was needed to slap McCain in the face for being an idiot RINO and being an establishment shill mouthpiece against Trump. kinda like Romney. how funny that Romney came and kissed Trump's papal ring shilling for a place in Trump's administration? hahahahaaaaa
as far as McCain's statement while being held captive during Vietnam .. anyone can be broken given enough time. that's why waterboarding is an unreliable way to extract information. eventually they will tell you whatever they have to so the torture will stop.
there is a current day example of this .. Robert Mueller. oh don't have a holy conniption fit liberals .. Cohen was attacked simply because he was close to Trump. like many others have been too. proof positive Mueller is conducting a political witch hunt. he should be executed for treason.
hahahahahahahahahahahaaha

Oh, and Dilbert, Arizona’s governor appoints a Senator to finish out McCain’s term. Seat up for election in 2020.
Pity. McCain had the balls to put country before party. I admired him, though I couldn’t say I agreed with him very often. He was a distinguished gentleman. He also got royally cornholed by the GOP when they forced him to agree to run with BSC Palin.
I think after that, he stopped bending over for the party.
Of course, he did get captured...

yeah, but the governor needs to do that at a certain time frame, otherwise, mccains seat has to be put on ballot.

Trump should declassify documents pertaining to McCains POW behavior. This guy should never have been made senator.
what was interesting that unlike other POWs, their rank increased upward, McCains rank never increased during his captivity and freedom. the scretaries then at time knew of his activities and refused to press charges on him and apparently there others like him.
that's why I said he was YELLOW.

I'm not sure how Arizona handles having 2 senate elections in the same year.
I know the governor can appoint someone but that has to be done during a certain time frame. so....

It will probably be Cyndi or Megan. Most states will put someone in office to fill the role until the next GENERAL election which won't be until 2019.
As a military person myself, you dont jeopardize the mission if you cannot continue. You turn over command to someone who can.
As for his military service, there was enough speculation about his actions on the Forrestal to limit his career to less than flag rank.

Never worry about that. I’m sure the AZ governor has had a list of people for months just in case this happened. In fact I’m sure every state has their list of people for replacing senators and congressmen

the Forrestal incident was an accident. he's not to blame for that one.
its what he did in Vietnam as as pow that limited his career regarding his flag rank.

That's bullshit. Nobody "forced" McCain to choose Palin as his running mate in 2008. He made that decision himself. It was a maverick pick. Palin was a complete unknown at the time. She wasn't on any GOP list of recommended running mates.
Why do you always make up and distort history?
