D'oh How could I forget about the obvious or also called circadian rhythm, as we get older we tend to get fewer erections and the ones we guys do get tend to be in the morning. I have also heard there tends to be more heart attacks in the morning than any other time of day, same goes for some meds work best when taken at certian times of day.

I read way into things and .... I still dislike the, "i want to be first!!" LOL, tacky!! I understand it but oh well.

Being the first-client-of-the-day does not mean she will be fresh. I've been the first client a few times and the providers must have showered the night before but not the morning of the appointment. Needless to say, it was unpleasant a few times.

As the day wears on ... demands get made on me ... so, early morning is better for me. Less likely someone else is trying to run me down to do some stuff for them. As the day progresses, that becomes more and more likely.

I start work in the early afternoon and when my work day is done I just want to go to sleep. Morning appointments round 10:00 work best for me.

I'm not sure why that would rub you the wrong way. I used to ask for the ONLY appointment of the day and offered to pay for the time I had to book to get it. Would that have been a problem?

I am a morning person. Nothing is implied by an early request from me. I get up at 0500 and am a morning guy.

But requesting a morning appointmen is different from insisting on being her first of the day. Insisting on being first would seem to imply that he thinks she would not be as fit or prepared for later appointments.
