I do not begrudge a provider or anyone else choices in tatts. Some times they can be distracting to the point of taking away from a woman's beauty, IMHO. If they are to distracting I will choose another provider that is more pleasing to me. I have NEVER said anything disparaging to any provider about her choice and don't plan on doing so.

Hate tats. By the way if a tat is on the lower back, you will not be given an epidural(or however it is spelled) during child birth. The ink could enter the body/bloodstream. I see more and more tats, even on young staff at places like the Four Seasons. Why get a tat? I think our cultural is becoming more de-humanized and youth seek to find some way to assert their identity, or any identity. If you are thinking about getting one, please re-consider. A tat is for life.

Symbols change from peace to green frog because someone picks the symbol off of a wall. Everyone and their brother has redeawn it. When they add their extra touch it alters to a different symbol and since their language is an art, it can change meanings.

That being said.. If you want a kanji symbol you should get a proper kanji dictionary. Just like I wouldn't learn to spell words from a 5 year olds Christmas card to mom I wouldn't use a ten times traced over symbol sheet.
