Default GOP Presidential Contenders Against Iraq Pullout

All of the GOP contenders, with the exception of Ron Paul says that President Obama is making the wrong decision by withdrawing troops and bringing them home by 12-31-11.
This in my opinion shows that the current crop of GOP contenders want to keep the war going as long as possible. Newt was quoted saying the withdrawal would be a "defeat". Romney and Perry said something to the affect that it should be a longer timetable.
My response is what a dumb move by the GOP contenders and what a smart and brave move by Ron Paul to at least be the only one to say we need to get the hell out of Iraq.
The Iraq War is extremely unpopular in the United States- do not expect a candidate to get major points by saying we need to stay in Iraq longer. Why any of the GOP contenders think Independent voters want U.S to remain in Iraq well into 2012 is beyond me.. Good move by Obama to finally end what he promised.
Also, I am not buying this theory that if we leave Iran is suddenly going to appear and influence a "civil" war.
It's amazing how the GOP contenders blasted Obama for supporting Libya or being involved but at the same time blast him for ending a very unpopular war. Let me say that one more time- the GOP blast Obama for starting another "3rd War"- one of which zero American lives were lost and a Ruthless Dictator was removed- but they blast Obama for wanting to end a war- one of which has killed over 4000 men/women and has cost over 1 trillion dollars!!! LMFAO!

Exclamation Strong President

The move clearly shows the world what a strong President the USA has in ending a war that never should have been started in the first place.

The fact that his GOP opponents oppose even such an obviously good move shows the world to what extremes they will go to block his every move based solely on their own political gain.

President Obama is doing what right for our country.

The GOP candidates are doing what they think is politically right for themselves . . . and to hell what is good for our country!

I totally agree- what the GOP don't understand is number one- Independents are going to decide next years election. The last poll I read I believe overwhelmingly the majority of Americans felt the War in Iraq was wrong and an even more overwhelming number believe it's time to leave Iraq.
Again if the GOP think they will get more people on their side to commit to more years in Iraq they are dead wrong. The War has a huge toll on our economy- the war has already cost over 1 trillion dollars and 4000 lives.
I again applaud Ron Paul for being the only sensible GOP on this topic- the others are just disagreeing with Obama for political reasons and not the right reasons.

All of the GOP contenders should go back and read the agreement. The agreement to bring the troops home by 12-31-2011 was signed by George Bush in 2008. It was the Bush administration that made the decision and signed the agreement with Iraq. All the Obama administration is doing is living up the agreement that Bush signed. Look it up.

Big Louie have you not heard yet- the GOP contenders have amnesia when it come to the years of 2000 to 2008- they believe those years don't exist and that nothing from those years were a result of what is taking place now.
For example the GOP contenders believe that our current economic crisis started Day 1 when Obama got in the office. The GOP contenders believe the economy was just booming with low UE rate and than Obama got in office and fucked up everything.
Also, Obama may have killed OBL on his watch but it was all due to the 8 glorious years under Bush in fact had it not been for those 8 glorious years- Obama would have never had the intel that Bush left him to capture- all credit goes to Bush for the capture of OBL and all blame goes to Obama for our economy.

President Obama didn't make a tough decision to bring our troops home, the Iraqis are throwing us out. But however we get them out of there is good enough for me, but Obama is taking credit for something he did not do. Which is normal for politicians of all stripes.

We are still leaving a massive amount of "diplomats" and mercenaries over there.
