Can be done either way. Advantage is longer duration, so could be used for 2 or more encounters in a 24-36 hour period. Viagra is best on an empty stomach. With Cialis, it doesn't matter so much. Cialis is also beneficial for older guys with enlarged prostates who are beginning to have slow urinary streams. I believe it was originally developed for that purpose? When I used to take Viagra, I could pee like a firehose for several hours afterward. I got my PCP to write me a Rx for daily Cialis. Now I can pee AND I don't need to worry about timing my dose within 1 to 2 hours of sex as is needed with Viagra.
