Fetterman — who is Pennsylvania's current lieutenant governor and the former mayor of Braddock, an eastern suburb of Pittsburgh — has been criticized for a 2013 incident in which he pulled a gun on a Black jogger. He reportedly followed the man, who he suspected of committing a crime, in a pickup truck with a shotgun and detained him until police arrived. The jogger was eventually found innocent and released.

"He was a white man with a gun chasing a Black man," Fawn Walker-Montgomery, a former city council member of a jurisdiction near Braddock, told NBC News in April. "I used to be on the council in McKeesport, and if I chased after a person with a gun, I would still be in jail. He’s showing he’s not aware of his white privilege."

Rev. Mark Kelly Tyler, a Democratic organizer in Philadelphia, added that anybody who thinks the incident won't have an impact on Black voters' decision is "living in fantasy land." Michael Nutter, the last Black mayor of Philadelphia, told NBC News that Fetterman should "just ‘fess up" and apologize.

In 2013, while mayor of Braddock, Pennsylvania, John Fetterman said he thought he heard a dozen gunshots near his home and called 911, according to news reports at the time.

Fetterman chased and caught Chris Miyares, who is Black, and displayed a shotgun to detain him until police arrived.

Police said Miyares was wearing headphones and exercise clothes. They said he did not have a weapon and released him without filing any charges.

Detained till police arrived. Fucking Devo did the same thing up in his neighborhood.

Citizens arrests can be made if someone thinks the person did a crime directly, or witnesses a crime being done, and if the person has a known criminal history, they can be detained till the police show up. That happened with Chris Miyares.

Btw- this criminal is still in prison for making terroristic threats and restraint...

Miyares’ letters were in response to a letter from The Inquirer, seeking his version of the incident. He is serving an 18- to 36-month sentence after being convicted in 2019 of kidnapping, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, and other crimes against a woman who hired him for a ride to work.

Once you get past all the criming n stuff, a really sweet angel outside of that.

Over the years Racist Fetterman has changed his story.

•He now says he couldn’t have done anything wrong because he was Mayor.

•He said it was an “active shooter situation”, but no weapon nor shell casings were found.

•He said he was protecting the local school, but school was closed.

If Racist Fetterman was a Republican every Democrat would be rightfully calling on him to make amends.
