SA - the DPSTs do have a Senate majority - 50 Senators ( of 100) - with harris - the VP casting a deciding vote in case of a tie!
Good question - can harris - after inauguration as POTUS - still cast a deciding vote for a VP nominee in the event of a Tie Senate confirmation Vote?

... NO. And that was me whole point. She would need to vacate the VP office to succeed Biden. Therefore, her new VP choice would need confirmation in what is, for the moment, a 50-50 Senate. No tie-breaker.

Heard this all on one o' the radio shows.
Unless a barrister out there can show us something different.
