Somebody said Red Rocks in Denver, awesome venue. My first was Jefferson Airplane at Municipal Auditorium.
Where was Cowtown Ballroom? I saw a bunch of great concerts there and thought it was a fun place, but I imagine it was just a little dumpy place.

Foghat and Blue Oyster Cult. Lied to parents and all.
Enjoyed the “summer jams” at Arrowhead in the early 80s.
Got free tix to MJ at Arrowhead that I’d never have went to, very memorable and ahead of his time.

Absolutely best concert was the Motley Crue "Carnival of Sins" tour in 2005 when they played 3 shows at the University of Colorado stadium and the 2nd show you had to be 21 to attend. All of the female dancers/singers were topless as were many of the female concert goers! Incredible 3 hour show!

Someone said Brewer Field House at U of Mo. First major with my high school love was 1968 with the Supreme (they only played about 15 min). Best at that venue was Andy Williams. Also saw Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears, Three Dog Night and Turtles there. Ozark Mountain Daredevils at Ice Chalet in COMO were fantastic as were several great performers at Blue Note. I stupidly passed on Simon and Garfunkel at Westminster College in Fulton around '67 or '68 just before The Graduate, but my sister went.

You saw those other acts at Brewer but Andy Williams was your favorite? But I guess the Simon and Garfunkel remark explains that. Hell I enjoyed the Barry Manilow concerts both times I went. Lol

Woodstock. $8. Had no clue it would become what it did. To me, just a chance to get out of NJ for a weekend with friends and smoke some weed lol. What a mess. Best concert ELO Out of the Blue. Although Boz Scaggs killed it a few years ago at Pechanga.

Could be worse. Mine was Tony Orlando and Dawn, in Las Vegas, with my parents.

Saw them at the Spectrum in Philly. Came up through the floor of the stage playing Turn to Stone. Epic

Thanks Crypt. For some reason I thought it was on Main.
Saw a crazy guy playing the banjo with an arrow through his head doing balloon tricks as the opening act before the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band at Cow Town. Literally a week later Steve Martin is on the Johnny Carson show and the rest is history.

Saw Anson Funderburg and the Rockets at the Grand Emporium around 1990. He walked out the front door, still playing guitar, and hopped on the hood of a car literally on the yellow line in the middle of Main St. Traffic totally stopped. He jammed for at least 20 minutes. Damn that dude could play. Also one person in attendance that night, (maybe they were buddies) was Keifer Sutherland.

Grateful Dead, Folsom Field, Boulder, CO, September 1972. I'm told I had a good time, can't say I remember much.
