Yes, strategically it is a good move. But the "leak" supposedly came from various relatively open discussions he has had with people over dinner/etc.

I don't think it was meant as a secret discussion by any right.

The media just choose it as another item to throw shit against the wall and demean Trump with.

I posted a Time link in another thread where this has been discussed from a strategic standpoint since just after WWII.
