99 percent of the people in the Country would think......."who the heck just opens fire on two police officers in a routine stop"?

The answer of course is a hardened criminal such as Mendoza. He already knew he was getting ready to be arrested. He was armed with a handgun while being on probation. He was looking at serious time, even in LA.

In Mendoza's mind, he was justified. That is how criminals think.

And Police Officers have to deal with it, sometime with tragic consequences.

Football players that protest police brutality is certainly germane to the thread topic.

So are many other things, bambino. Your logic is flawed. Making this about Nike and Kaepernick is a reach.

Both of you, get back to the topic of the thread or create a new one to go back and forth.

IBH 100% correct (Only idiots like Kaepernik won't admit that LE is always at the tip of the spear holding the wall against criminals like this Mendoza guy.)

99.99% of LE does great work , yet isn't covered in media much, however 01% (like Dallas incident) media covers 24/7 for the OUTRAGE factor. Kaepernick did what he did for the outrage .. ( and didn't work out for him )

Exactly. Anybody who criticizes LE for their hyper vigilance need only watch this video to understand why cops need to be hyper vigilant.

You're exactly right. The cops have to be hyper vigilante all of the time, and it's stressful. The officer's body camera shows that Mendoza pointed the gun directly at her chest.

Quote:
Mendoza, who went by the name of “Biz,” was known by the LAPD as a member of the Vincent Town street gang. He has prior convictions for possession of a firearm by a felon and narcotics for sales, according to the LAPD and court records.
