Good Mexican food place

Hi guys. Now that I am here I. El Paso I want to know a really good Mexican food resturant to eat at. Any suggestions?

Reasonable minds can differ of course, I'm a gringo but have lived here 25 years and eaten LOTS of Mexican food. So here goes:

East side: Julio's Cafe Corona
Central: Kiki's (best chicken fajita's I've ever eaten) or L&J Cafe
West: Casa Jurado, Avila's
Multiple locations: Carnitas Queretaro and El Taco Tote (the latter is more of a Mexican fast food restaurant but really good, try the pork adobado tacos). Both of those originated in Mexico but crossed over maybe 10 years ago.

There are certainly more, I'll leave that to my fellow diners. But you'll get great Mexican food at any of these....have a great visit!

For Tacos.- Tacotote, Chinampa, or Chihuas (chihuas has a taco buffet on wednesdays, every kind of taco you can think of, excellent)
For Enchiladas.- ay cocula, Chelsea cafe, cuathemoc on airway,
For caldo.- hands down Rafas on george dieter, everywhere else is boiled veggies
For Pork Asado, carnitas and tamales.- No better place than Dona lupitas on far east montana,
For Mexican Buffet, 3 Gallegos on i10 and zaragosa is pretty well rounded.

As MM noted, Im sure some will differ but these places are my personal go to joints. and of course all MM mentioned are generally good food.

I agree with all of the above. I like L&J for great authentic old atmosphere and good cooking.

L&J is the best. You also have Los Jarrones tht is not bad
