Ah Ginger is reminding me of the days of sitting on the floor in front of my dual cassette component system and waiting for a particular song to play, pressing record.....hating when the DJ flapped his gums through the first 20 seconds of the opening. Rock on!

Technology can be a wondereful thing. What kind of advancement will be next? Showing my age, but I have seen and still have LP's, 45's, 8 tracks, cassettes and CD's. Haven't taken the next step to an Iphone Ipod yet. Would have been nice to have that before I retired from the service, having to choose between a few cassettes or cds to save space and now having an entire collection in your hand!

I remember a number of good times spinning lp's during the disco craze. Still remember the fun of syncing up the beat between songs to make super-sets of endless dancing. Little bit of drag on the platter, careful adjustment of the speed, then a quick flick of the fader at just the right moment, on the beat, to the new song. Crates and crates of lp's hauled to events. I have very few of those left now.

I got a record player for Christmas that converts vinyl into digital in iTunes on the computer. I've been busy transferring my albums and although it's a slow process it's worth the time! Now I can take my favs and play them anywhere, todays technology is amazing. CV, I too can remember 8 track and still have a bunch of cd's

Default Can't do this anymore

Hate when I got carried away and flung the tape across the room!

Yep, I've still got a working cassette deck. Pulled it out of storage closet when I found the tapes for the same reason, wondering what was on it. In this case it was a boring school lecture. Definitely not "Good shiz"!
