A question for the ladies
Put your hand down WTF, I'm not talking to you.
I was reading something and it got me to thinking. There is a word that TV usually refers to as the C word that some guys call women. This word as near as I can figure is a rather filthy slang word for a female body part. Even Seinfeld made a joke about it with his what is her name episode. So I guess my question is why is this such a terrible word. I can't think of a similar word used to describe men. If WTF and Tex still haven't figured it out yet, I 'm talking about the word "Cunt".
Personal note; when I was in the navy I had a serious problem with a female sailor. She had been in as long as me, was the same paygrade but had never been to sea. Her ignorance of seaboard life become obvious during some roleplaying in a leadership class. I was joking when I described her as a civilian in uniform. She went white and then she went red. She stomped away and came back later to threaten me with some kind of official sanction for what I said. I asked her what I said and she whispered to me that I had called her a cunt. What? When? She said that I called her a "civilian under naval training". I was confused until I figured it out. She is the type who is always quick to take offense about even imagined slights.
So what is the problem with that word? Is it that bad?
